What we store

• Your username, email address and a hashed password. Passwords are never stored in readable form.
• The languages you speak and practise, your level, chosen country and availability.
• Your practice sessions and the messages in them, so both partners can read a transcript later.
• Ratings, reports and blocks, which are used to keep sessions civil.

What we do not store

We do not ask for your real name, address, phone number or date of birth, and we do not keep a location history. Voice practice runs inside your own browser: speech recognition and speech playback are handled by the browser, and no audio is uploaded to us.

Cookies and advertising

One cookie keeps you signed in. The service is free because of advertising: Google AdSense may set its own cookies to show ads and measure them, and you can review or change that through Google's own ad settings. Depending on where your users are, you may also need a consent banner for advertising cookies — that is a legal question for your own jurisdiction, not something this code decides for you.

Deleting your account

Write to the address below and we will delete your account, your language preferences, your sessions and your messages. Reports you have filed are kept without your username attached.
